Battery or (Batt): The Battery is the power supply used to heat up a atomizer/cartomizer (Coil) inside your tank. When your battery is activated it will heat up the coil in your tank which turns your E-liquid/E-juice into a vapor you can inhale. There is a huge selection of different style batteries on the market right now. Most vapor starter kits come with rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries which come in a variety mAh settings.

Atomizer or (Atty): The Atomizer is the heating element in an electronic cigarette to produce vapor. An atomizer works when the battery conducts electric current to vaporize e-liquid in your clearomizer or tank. There are many different style atomizers in the electronic cigarette industry. Use caution when purchasing replacement atomizers for your e-liquid tank. Most atomizers differ from manufacturer to manufacturer, if you’re not careful you may purchase the wrong type for your clearomizer/tank.

Cartomizer or(Carto): The cartomizer has both a heating element and an e-liquid delivery system in one unit. Most people consider them to be disposable and not refillable. Many vapor user’s have managed to refill them. Cartomizers come in single coil, double coil, and even triple coil designs. Having more than one coil can heat up your e-liquid much faster producing more vapor.

Cartridge or (Cart): The cartridge is usually the mouthpiece made of plastic that is designed with a filler that holds e-liquid. These cartridges are found on the more discreet cigarette looking electronic cigarettes.

Charger: The charger is a device that is designed to recharge your vaporizer battery when it depleted. There are different types of chargers depending on your battery style. Most common are a USB 510 connection or a USB passthrough style chargers.

Coil: A coil is typically made with some sort of nichrome or kanthal wire that is wrapped like a wire. The coil when heated up by a electric current produced by a battery vaporizes your e-liquid.

Clearomizer or (Clearo): The clearomizer is a see through version of a cartomizer. A clearomizer has graduating ml lines on the side of the tank that is transparent to see how much e-liquid you have available. Most are made of breakable plastic with different types of wicks in them that absorb the e-liquid to be vaporized. There are several styles that are top filled or bottom filled tanks. They are constantly evolving to produce a better vaping experience.

Cut-off: A cut-off or automatic shutdown is a safety feature in most electronic cigarette batteries. After about 5-10 seconds of continuous draw from your electronic vaporizer it will shutdown so the device doesn’t overheat.

DCT: Stands for Dual Coil Tank

BDC: Stands for Bottom Dual Coil. It is a coil that is located in the e-liquid tank. When heated up by your batteries current it produces vapor.

Disposable E-Cigarette: These are disposable e-cigs with varying nicotine levels. They have a certain amount of puffs to be inhaled depending on the brand. These e-cigarettes are not rechargeable and are to be disposed of when they no longer produce vapor.

Drip Tip: The drip tip is basically the mouth piece that is used on an atomizer for dripping. They come in many different styles, colors, and materials.

Electronic Cigarette or (E-cig, PV Personal Vaporizer): Electronic Cigarette is a device used to smoke e-liquid/e-juice (electronic liquid or juice) by using an electronic current produced by battery and heating element to create vapor to inhale.

E-Cigar: Stands for electronic cigar. They are usually disposable, but there some rechargeable units available to the consumer.

E-Pipe: Stands for electronic pipe. These are usually mechanical modification devices (Mods)

E-Liquid or (E-Juice): E-liquid or electronic liquid is the liquid used in a electronic cigarette. They come in varying nicotine level strengths and flavors. E-liquid is heated up by a heating element to create vapor to inhale. They are typically made with (VG) Vegetable Glycerin, (PG) Propylene Glycol, liquid nicotine, artificial and/or natural flavoring and sometimes sweetener.

eGo Style: Is a style on electronic cigarette, which when used with the 510 thread allows for a much a larger battery and charging capacity. A very popular device among vaper users.

Gurgling: Typically occurs when to much e-liquid is supplied to a electronic vaping device causing flooding. Another cause is condensation between the battery and tank space.

High Resistance (HR): An atomizer or cartomizer with a higher Ohm rating than other devices.

IMR: Lithium Ion Manganese Rechargeable Battery

ICR: Lithium Ion Cobalt Rechargeable Battery

Kanthal: A type of resistance wire used to make a heating coil in atomizer or cartomizer.

Low Resistance (LR): An atomizer or cartomizer with a lower Ohm rating than regular devices. Lower resistance atomizers heat up faster and produce more vapor.

mAh: Stands for milliamp hour. Usually signifies the battery power.

Milliliters (mL): The amount measured in a container.

Milligrams (MG): The amount of nicotine strength level in a e-liquid bottle.

Mod: A custom built Personal Vaping device. Typically found amongst more advanced vapers.

Mouthpiece: The mouthpiece sits in or on an atomizer or cartomizer. Most vapers refer to the mouthpiece as a drip tip.

Nicotine: An alkaloid found in tobacco or other plants of the nightshade family.

Ohm: The measure of electrical resistance.

Propylene Glycol (PG): Propylene Glycol is used as a base for the nicotine and flavoring in e-liquid.

Pull: The draw from an electronic cigarette that you inhale.

Steeping: The act of allowing your e-liquid to sit for the different flavoring, nicotine, and molecules to marry together to create a more well balanced liquid.

Throat Hit (TH): The throat hit is highly desired by vapers. Different devices, nicotine levels,e-liquids, and (PV) Personal Vaping habits contribute to the overall throat hit making it stronger or weaker.

Vaping: Refers to the act of using an electronic cigarette.

Vape: Refers to electronic term “to smoke”.

Vaper: Refers to a person that vapes electronic cigarettes.

Variable Voltage (VV): A variable voltage electronic vaping device allows you to control the amount of voltage coming from your battery. At higher voltages your device produce more vapor.

Variable Wattage (VW): Variable wattage allows you to set the wattage of your device, no matter what the resistance of your atomizer or cartomizer.

Vegetable Glycerin (VG): Vegetable Glycerin is a compound found in vegetable oil. It is used in e-liquids to amplify vapor product and as a sweetener.

Wick: A wick is typically made of poly or silica string. It absorbs the e-liquid in many different types of atomizers to be vaped. (Wicking) also, refers directing the e-liquid from the atomizer to the heating element.
